Winner of the First Prize in the 2012 London International String Quartet Competition, the Arcadia Quartet was formed in 2006 at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy of Cluj-Napoca in Romania under the supervision of Professor Nicusor Silaghi. In September 2009, they were awarded the Second Prize in the "Gianni Bergamo" Classic Music Award and in 2011, the First Prize in the International Chamber Music Competition of Hamburg and the First Prize in the International Chamber Music Competition of Almere. They have perfected their skills alongside numerous professors and recently graduated from the University for Music und Dance of Vienna under the supervision of professor Johannes Meissl.

In 2011 the Galatea quartet released their first CD for Sony Classical entitled ‘Landscapes’, featuring works of Ernst Bloch. Formed in 2005, the quartet worked in its early days with Stephan Görner of the Carmina Quartet in Zurich and the Artemis Quartet in Berlin. Recognition for the quartet came early on with International Competition prizes in Geneva (Third Prize in 2006), Osaka (Third Prize in 2008) , Bordeaux (Rimbotti Prize in 2010) . In addition to their competition success, the quartet has performed on tour throughout Europe at venues such as Wigmore Hall London, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Tonhalle Zurich, as well as performances in Japan and India.

Winner of Fourth Prize in the 2011 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition and laureate of the 2010 Banff International String Quartet Competition, the Noga Quartet was formed in 2008 in Berlin, at the Universität der Künste under the direction of Heime Müller and Eckart Runge. Its musicians originate for the conservatories of Paris, Lyon and Milan and since 2010, they are studying with members of the Alban Berg Quartet at the Hochschule für Musik of Köln. In 2009, the Noga Quartet has been invited to participate at the Barga Festival in Italy and in 2011, at the Steans Music Institute of the Ravinia Festival in Chicago. The Noga Quartet is financially being helped by the Ottilie-Selbach-Redslob Foundation of Berlin.

Winner of the Gold Medal in the 2012 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and Third Prize in the 2012 London International String Quartet Competition, the Tesla Quartet was formed at the Juilliard School in 2008 and quickly established itself by winning Second Prize at the J.C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition. The quartet has since enjoyed a very busy performing schedule, both in the States and abroad . Fellows at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and at the Aspen Music Festival’s Center for Advanced Quartet Studies, the quartet currently holds a fellowship as the Graduate String Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Colorado-Boulder, where they study with the Takács Quartet.

The Duchow String Quartet was formed in 2009 at the Schulich School of Music under the supervision of André J. Roy. Participants in the two first editions of MISQA and in the Toronto Music Festival, the quartet has also performed in master classes with Alfred Brendel and the Miro Quartet. Members of the quartet have participated in the London International String Quartet competition and the Fischoff National Competition. The Quartet takes its name from the Canadian composer Marvin Duchow.

Formed in 2010 at the Heartland Music Academy’s summer chamber music festival in Kansas City, the Fairway String Quartet continued their studies in the Academy’s Stringendo, year-round chamber music program. In 2011, they were awarded full-scholarships to Yale University’s Norfolk Chamber Music Program to study with the Tokyo String Quartet and then received a Fellowship to attend the Juilliard String Quartet Seminar in New-York

Formed in 2010, the Fidelio has worked under the supervision of André J. Roy, Gerhard Schulz, Philip de Groote, Volker Jacobsen and Peter Schumayer. Participants in the first edition of MISQA and in the Toronto Music Festival, members of the quartet have also performed at the Montreal Chamber Music Festival, the Lakeshore Chamber Music Society, and in the MusiMars Festival. Members of the quartet have participated in the London International String Quartet competition.

Formed in 2011 at the Schulich School of Music, the St-Ambroise Quartet has worked under the supervision of André J. Roy. Members of the quartet have participated in the first edition of MISQA, the Toronto Music Festival, the Montreal Chamber Music Festival, the Lakeshore Chamber Music Society, and in the MusiMars Festival. Devoted to chamber music outreach, the St-Ambroise is involved in the Montreal community, performing benefit concerts for many organizations.
