Born in Oulainen, Finland, Annti Tikkanen is a versatile musician whose dynamic career led him to perform extensively around the world’s best music festivals as a chamber musician, soloist as well as in baroque performances. He began to study violin at the age of seven and his principal teachers have been Tomasz Orzech, Zinaidi Gilels, Lajos Garam, Mi-Kyung Lee, Kreeta-Maria Kentala and Pavel Verniknov.

A founding member of the META4 quartet, Minna Pensola is also the co-founder of the Punavuori Chamber Music Society. Professor of violin at the Sibelius Academy, Mrs. Pensola has also acted as artistic director of the Sysmä Summer Sounds Festival. Her principal teachers and mentors have been Kaija Saarikettu, Ana Chumachenko, Hatoo Beyerle and Josef Rissin.
