The Soha Quartet was formed in 2024 at the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin where they worked under the guidance of Joshua Gindele and Sandy Yamamoto. The ensemble won the first prize at the 2025 Music Teachers National Association Chamber Music Competition in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They were also named semi-finalists in the 2025 Plowman Chamber Music Competition and in the 2026 Coltman Chamber Music Competition.
