Alexander Pavlovsky


Founding member of the Jerusalem Quartet, Alexander Pavlovsky has established a reputation as a highly accomplished chamber musician, soloist and pedagogue.

Born in Kiev, M. Pavlovsky studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music with Professor Matvey Liberman. He is a frequent guest at international festivals including Verbier, Schlezwig-Holstein, Gstaad and the String Quartet Biennial in Paris and Amsterdam.

Since 2022, he has held the position of professor of string chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. Furthermore, since 2008, he has served as the Artistic Director of the renowned “Zeist Music Days” International Chamber Music Festival and Masterclasses in The Netherlands.
