In 2012, Pierre Lapointe completed a thesis on Zemlinsky’s Second Quartet and obtained a Doctorate from the Manhattan School of Music. A former member of Chamber Music Society Two, he has performed at numerous venues across the world. In 2004, he received a prize from the Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec for his work at the Gatineau Conservatory.
Mr. Lapointe’s teachers were Yaëla Hertz, Calvin Sieb, Paul Yarbrough and Lawrence Dutton.
First Prize winner of the Ima Hogg Competition, Brook Speltz has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and recitalist throughout the world. A regular performer at England’s IMS Prussia Cove and on tour with Musicians from Marlboro, M.Speltz studied at the Curtis Institute of Music with Peter Wiley and at the Juilliard School with Joel Krosnick, after his formative years of study with Eleonore Schoenfeld in Los Angeles.
