Radim Sedmidubský graduated for the Prague Conservatory in 1986 before continuing his studies at Prague Academy of Music under the guidance of Milan Škampa, violist of the Smetana Quartet; he developed a deep interest in chamber music which led in 1989 to the co-founding of the Škampa Quartet. Winner of the Pennycress Trust prize at the 1991 Lionel Tertis International viola Competition he has been heard as a soloist throughout Europe.
Petr Prause studied the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under the guidance of Miroslav Petras and members of the Smetana Quartet before continuing his studies with Raphael Wallfisch at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.Based in Manchester, England, he has been appointed Artistic Director of the International Chamber Music Studio, further strengthening the provision of chamber music at the Royal Northern College of Music.
