Roman Patočka graduated from the Prague Conservatory and the Prague Academy of Performing Arts before continuing his studies with Shmuel Ashkenasi and Stefan Picard. Regular soloist with prestigious orchestras in the Czech Republic and abroad, M. Patočka is an avid and sought-after chamber music artist who represented the Czech Republic at the international exhibition EXPO 2005 in Aichi, Japan.
Jan Talich studied at the Prague Conservatory and later at the Prague Academy of Music under Václav Snítil. He went on to study under the guidance Shmuel Ashkenasi and Yfrah Neaman. His international career as a soloist was launched after winning the First prize at the 1989 Václav Huml International Violin Competition in Zagreb. In 1992 Jan Talich founded the Talich Chamber Orchestra, of which he is the soloist and artistic director.
