Violist of the Miami String Quartet, Scott Lee’s exceptional musicality and virtuoso playing has established him as one of the most exciting and unique violists of his generation. The New York Times writes of “a remarkable and auspicious talent” while the Strings Magazine talks of “the superstar of his generation”.
In 1996, Mr. Lee became the youngest winner of the Concert Artists Guild Competition’s history. Mr. Lee is also the top prize winner of the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and the William Primrose Viola Competition. Recent highlights of Mr. Lee’s concert schedule include performances at the El Paso Music Festival, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Chamber Music Northwest, OK Mozart Festival, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Musicians from Marlboro, La Jolla Summerfest, Ravinia Festival and Savannah Music Festival.
