Born in Brandenburg, Stephan Forck studied at the Academy of Music “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin. Founding member of the Vogler Quartet with whom he was awarded the first Prize at the International String Quartet Competition in Evian, he has also received the second Prize at the International Instrumental Competition in Markneukirchen.
Mr. Forck has performed as a soloist with many orchestras in Europe and has done several recordings for radio and television. In addition to his extensive concert schedule with the Vogler quartet, Mr. Frock plays frequently in other chamber music formations at concerts and various festivals.
In 1999, Mr. Forck was appointed for cello and chamber music professor at the Academy of Music “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin.
