Tim Vogler

Biography

Born in Berlin, Tim Vogler studied at the city’s famous Academy of Music “Hanns Eisler.” Recipient of many prizes at national and international competitions, Mr. Vogler also studied chamber music in Berlin and Cincinnati and has been first violin in the Vogler String Quartett since it was founded in 1985. His main tutors have been Eberhard Feltz, Walter Levin, György Kurtág, Menahem Pressler, and Hedi Gigler.
Currently, he is the artistic leader of the Kammermusiktage of Homburg, the Vogler Spring Festival in Sligo (Ireland), and the Nordhessische Kindermusiktage in Kassel.
Mr. Vogler teaches at the Academy of Music “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin and is a guest professor of violin at the Academy of Music in Detmold.
