Winner of the First Prize in the 2012 London International String Quartet Competition, the Arcadia Quartet was formed in 2006 at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy of Cluj-Napoca in Romania under the supervision of Professor Nicusor Silaghi. In September 2009, they were awarded the Second Prize in the “Gianni Bergamo” Classic Music Award and in 2011, the First Prize in the International Chamber Music Competition of Hamburg and the First Prize in the International Chamber Music Competition of Almere. They have perfected their skills alongside numerous professors and recently graduated from the University for Music und Dance of Vienna under the supervision of professor Johannes Meissl.
