First prize winner of the 2019 Joseph Joachim International Chamber Music Competition as well as the 2018 Saint Martin in the Fields Chamber Music Competition, the London based Barbican String Quartet was formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
In 2018 the Royal Philharmonic Society awarded them the Albert and Eugenie Frost Prize. Among their mentors are Alasdair Tait, Andras Keller, David Waterman, Ferenc Radis and Rita Wagner.
The Barbican quartet currently studies with Günter Pichler at the Reina Sofia String Quartet Academy in Madrid, and they regularly work with members of the Belcea quartet thanks to the Belcea Quartet Charitable Trust.
