Winner of the first prize in the 2017 Ohio String Teachers’ Association Chamber Music Competition, the Callisto Quartet was formed in 2016 at the Cleveland Institute of Music where they study under the tutelage of Peter Salaff and the Cavani String Quartet.
The quartet was selected as the CIM Apprentice Quartet for 2017, a position which includes extensive education and performance activities throughout the Cleveland community.
The Callisto has also received guidance from Shmuel Ashkenasi, Mathias Tacke, Ronald Copes, Roger Tapping, Colin Carr, and members of the Belcea and Calidore Quartets.
