Formed in 2017, the Ivalas Quartet won the 1st prize at the 2019 WDAV Young Chamber Musicians Competition as well as the Grand prize at the 2022 Coltman Chamber Music Competition.
The Ivalas has been featured on various concert series, including Friends of Chamber Music in Denver and the Great Lakes Center for the Arts as well as maintaining a busy calendar in the summer, performing at such venues as the Bowdoin and the Aspen Music Festivals.
The Ivalas is finishing their residency as Graduate String Quartet at the Juilliard School, where they studied under the Juilliard Quartet. They were previously in residence at the University of Colorado under the mentorship of the Takács Quartet.
