Biography

The Peresson Quartet was formed in 2009 at the Colburn School in Los Angeles. Since its inception, it has rapidly established itself as a first class ensemble and has worked extensively with Arnold Steinhardt of the Guarneri Quartet and Paul Coletti as well as the distinguished Quatuor Ebene. The Peresson Quartet’s members have performed as chamber musicians at the Verbier, Aspen, Prussia Cove, and Sarasota Festivals with artists such as Ani Kavafian, Jon Nakamatsu, Gary Karr, and Franklin Cohen. Individually they have appeared as soloists with the Montreal, Seattle, Moscow State Radio, Ottawa, and Boston Pops Symphony Orchestras, among others. The quartet’s upcoming engagements include performances in Los Angeles, Sonoma, and the Pacific Northwest. In October 2010 the quartet will perform the Mendelssohn Octet with the Tokyo String Quartet at Los Angeles’ Zipper Hall.
The Peresson String Quartet is an official selection of the 10th Banff International String Quartet Competition (August 30-September 5, 2010).
